Information
The church of St. Hippolytus is the part of the provostship of a Czech order called the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. The order got the provostship from King Wenceslas I. The originally Romanesque church was rebuilt several times, finally in Baroque style. The current church building is an architectonic jewel of the Dyje region. The precious frescoes of F. A. Maulbertsch and the meditation garden attract a large number of visitors. The Institute of Christian Culture started its activity there in 2004. The institute cooperates with the provostship on its activities and supports the Christian traditions.
